These are an extensive network of underground tunnels and fortifications that date back to the 17th century.

Today, the Casemates are a popular tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore a portion of the tunnels and experience the historic atmosphere while gaining insights into Luxembourg’s military past.

Additionally, the viewpoints within the Casemates offer breathtaking panoramas of Luxembourg City, with scenic views of the Alzette River and the surrounding landscape.

LISEL organizes a tour on July 15 to have the chance to visit the Casemates du Bock after renovation.
